REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate 3 year B-Degree (or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years
supervisory experience in a governance, compliance, financial internal control
or similar environment; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People
with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access
to transport, may also apply. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Public
Finance Management Act and regulations, instructions, guidelines and practice
notes issued in terms thereof; Internal control frameworks; Skills needed:
Analytical, planning and integrity; Written and verbal communication.

DUTIES : Ensure execution of annual internal control programme; Render an assurance
service with regard to financial administration; Make tactical recommendations
on submissions with financial implications to the relevant senior manager,
CFO, cabinet, MEC, AO and Provincial Treasury; Coordinate, evaluate and
prepare responses/submissions to oversight bodies, committees and forums;
Oversee post auditing of expenditure vouchers; Human resource management
and skill development; Financial management; Participation in strategic
